How to move the Taskbar to bottom of the screen?

How to bring back the taskbar to its default/original position?

How can you change the position of taskbar?

In my gaming PC, Vista 64 bit is installed. Today, I wanted to do some work quickly so as soon as the PC started, I tried to click on the Start button. In all the hurry, I clicked few times and I think I also clicked the right mouse button.

Anyway, the result was that the *taskbar [*TB] got moved to the top of the screen. This has happened to me in the past too but I always seem to forget the solution : )

What did I do to move the taskbar to the top?

First, the solution:

Simply click and hold on the *TB: do it on a empty space: if you click-hold an icon or tab, then you will not be able to move the *TB.

Solution is very simple isn’t it? But did it work?

I tried to find the solution on the internet and I found what I described above as the only solution for this [tiny but frustrating] problem.

This solution works but it did not work for me. I was surprised that no one [in the few online pages/sites that I checked] had mentioned any other solution.

Anyway, I decided to move the *TB myself: after 1 or so minutes I finally found the solution : )

Simply right click on the TB and click on [you need to uncheck] Lock the Taskbar.

After un-checking this option, you will be able to drag the TB to any corner you want.

Now, what did I do to create this issue in the first place?

My TB was locked: so I assume that when I was randomly clicking on the two mouse buttons : ) I first un-check the lock TB option and then the cursor may have moved upwards a little.

Now that I have written a post about this issue: next time I encounter this problem, I will know where to find the solution : )

That was quit difficult in the start but as you got the tip it become interesting to move the taskbar from one side to another. I like the best position for Taskbar is Top.
