Lightning GT: A Sports Car that Runs on Battery

This is unbelievable. I just saw news about a UK based Motor Car Company which recently introduced their car, “Lighting GT”, in a local motor car show.

Accordingly to company officials, this car is super fast like other sport cars but the most amazing feature in this car is that it runs on only electric power which is generated by batteries.

The Lighting GT contains four motors. All these motors are powered via approximately thirty batteries. These four motors will produce about seven hundred horse power. How about that? : )

A 700 horse power motor car that only uses batteries to run: No petrol or any other fuel is required. This car reaches zero to sixty miles per hour in less than five seconds. So it really is hard to believe that a car which is powered by batteries will reach this kind of speed.

Not many people will be able to buy this car as it will cost some where around $50 or $55 K. At the moment, this car was just displayed in a motor show. The production of this car is expected to start after 2 years. So it means that we will have to wait for some time, to see if this car is really this fast.

This car can travel a distance of more than 300 kilometers if the batteries are charged for only 10 minutes.

Can this really be true?? Well, may be it is, as $50K is not a small amount of money
