You enter your number and then select to receive a call but nothing happens?

What can you do to make it work?
There are actually different things that you can do to solve this issue. First of all, you should not be disappointed as this phone verification is not a big problem. In one or another way, you will be able to verify it.
First of all, are you entering your phone number correctly?
Are you entering the City Code correctly?
If you are then what about the country code?
I personally have contacted Elance Support and asked them to give some tips: the support personal was very kind to cooperate in this matter.
He told me that in Most Cases, the new comers make the following mistake:
They enter 00/Zero’s in front of the country code or the city code:
Remember: Elance Phone Verification system does not recognize zeros at the start of your #.
For example: if you live in Pakistan: then you will normally write your number in the following way:
This number is correct if someone from other country uses his Phone to call you: BUT at Elance, you need to enter the above number in the following way:
92 – city code, without any ZERO – and then some number
Do not put any zeros in the beginning of your country code and also not in-front of your city code.
Ok, what if you still cannot verify?

Time to call is from 5AM to 5PM USA TIME.
As support personal will receive your call, they will be able to verify your phone number manually.
The support person will receive your call and will be able to See the number from which you are calling right? So they will know that this number really does belongs to you.
What if you fail to call their support?
Then you will need to open Elance Support section. Look for Live Chat icon.
You can chat with a Live person: but this feature is only available in business days and the time is the same as mentioned above.
When you start a chat, tell the support person that you have failed to verify your phone # in every possible way. They will surely solve this issue for you.
