How to Remove CleverPlugins Advertisement/News from WordPress Dashboard

I recently updated my WordPress based sites/blogs to the latest version [3.0]. After updating them, I opened the dashboard and scroll down just to see what other information is displayed: this is when I found [for the first time] CleverPlugins advertisement/news block.

At first, I was quite worried about it. I thought may be my site is h a c k e d  : )

The reason why I got worried was that: in the advertisement I saw some content like this:

Buy this plugin: it will create a network of blogs for you and will automatically update them.

So this seemed to be a plugin that Search Engines do not like much : )

Such plugins adds content automatically [which is not good] and also create duplicate content problems.

A site is worth indexing for search engines, if it is providing useful/original content: but plugins that automatically adds content are not recommended to use by many people.

So I thought that something is wrong and tried to find a solution: it was not long before I noticed this link at the top right side:

Screen Options

I clicked on it and found the solution. I also found that I can quite customize the dashboard : )

Anyway, clicking on the said option will bring up a menu where you can select/de-select the items that you want to view on the dashboard. Here you can select to remove the said plugin news from dashboard.

This CleverPlugins advertisement is part of WordPress: then [may be the plugin that I was talking about] I may have misunderstood what this plugin actually does ? : )
