Imagine a situation where you buy a New LCD Monitor from a shop or from the internet, and that after you open the item, you find one or more scratches on its screen. What will be your reaction? Assuming that for some reason, returning the item is not possible.
Anyway, similar thing happened to me where my new LCD had one small scratch on the top left side: Very Disappointing
I tried every reasonable methods to remove this scratch but nothing helped:
Basically, if someone say that We Cannot Remove Scratches from an LCD Screen, then I will certainly believe him : )
If you search the internet, you will find different methods that are supposed to help us get rid of these scratches. But in reality, most of these methods will bring no good.
My suggestion will be to use the monitor as it is. Trying different things on your LCD screen, to remove the scratches, may increase your problems.
One of the solutions I found online was to fill the scratch with Petroleum Vaseline Gel.
I personally think that such methods are not Good solutions. I tried it and it changes Nothing. And even if it would work, it will not be a good solution as Dust will cover the jelly very often and if you are cleaning your screen, then the jelly will most probably spread over the screen…
Some other user suggested to use solutions that used to remove scratches from CDs or DVDs. There are some liquids or creams that are supposed to remove such scratches but I personally think that, if these things do not even remove the deep scratches in CDs/DVDs, how can they remove a scratch from LCD screen?
LCD screen is a no joke: my personal suggestion will be to not try anything to remove the scratches. If the monitor is newly bought, then try to return it: if that is not possible then forget about the scratch and use it. After few days, you will not even notice the scratch anymore : )
