After successful 3D product released by Nvidia [3D vision], Sony is also entering the world of 3D. According to a latest news, Sony will be releasing their 3D products in summer this year [2010].
PS3 fans are very excited to hear this news as they were disappointed to not be able to play games in 3D where PC users could do that via Nvidia 3D vision.
Will your old PS3 be able to play 3D games? Or you will need to buy a new PS3 which is 3D compatible?
According to the latest press release issued by Sony: Sony 3D
It is now confirmed that all PS3 Units will be able to run 3D games. Just one Firmware Update will be required.
A firmware update will make your existing PS3: a 3D Blue Ray Player too.
I wonder if the technology used by Sony is any different than the one used by Nvidia?
I personal have Nvidia 3D glasses and wonder: can I use them with PS3?
Right now, we can’t tell if that is possible: but I personally think that both companies will be using their own technologies making their products incompatible with each other’s equipment.
