Great news for people who love to spend time at YouTube: Google has recently added a new feature that will enable us to show subtitles with our videos.
If a video have included subtitles, then all you have to do is to add this code:
&cc_load_policy=1
You need to add this code at two places.
The first place:
In the parameter “src=”, you will see the URL to the YouTube video. You need to add the above mentioned code [&cc_load_policy=1], at the very end of the video URL.
The second place where you need to add this code:
In the parameter “value=”, you will see the URL to the YouTube video. You need to add the above mentioned code at the very end of the video URL.
This code will make subtitles to always appear by default.
I am not sure, but I think that by adding [&cc_load_policy=0], instead of [&cc_load_policy=1], will make the subtitles to Not show by default.
Click on the arrow that is pointing up [located at right bottom corner of videos], to enable or disable subtitles.
Wait: there is one more cool addition to YouTube. Now, we can even translate the subtitles in 41 different languages.
The same place where you will find the option to turn on or turn off the subtitles, there you can also see an option to translate subtitles.
I think these two additions to YouTube are very helpful.
